Jay Peak Ski Resort offers a Vermont ski experience unlike no other in the East. Jay Peak mountain boasts an annual snowfall average of 357 inches and 30+ powder days. The glade skiing at Jay Peak is some of the best in the country and soon will be expanding west. The "West Bowl" development will make Jay Peak Ski Area the second largest in the state by adding an additional 250 acres on 1400 vertical feet of terrain.

On November 18, 2003, Jay Peak Resort announced expansion plans for the west bowl, which will include new lifts as well as a championship 18-hole golf course, making the area a true four-season Vermont vacation destination. The new golf course is designed by renowned Canadian architect Graham Cooke of Montreal. The course design will be versitile making it challenging for those golfers who play from the back tees and enjoyable for those playing from the mid tees.

The restaurant at Inglenook Lodge offers fine dining with a menu that changes nightly. Our culinary staff prepares the finest and freshest Vermont meat fish and produce as well as a wide variety of international cuisine and family recipe favorites. The lodge also specializes in hosting events of all kinds such as weddings, school groups and bus groups of all types, snowmobile get togethers, car touring groups, and of course ski groups.

Cross-country skiing - Vermont, offers 20 km of cross country skiing which networks into 200 km of touring trails in the immediate vicinity. Jay Peak has recently purchased new trail grooming and track-setting equipment to provide even better cross country skiing. All this for the amazingly low trail fee of $5.00!

About 9 thousand years ago Native Americans followed the retreating ice. About 500 years ago many there were many encampments along the fertile Missisquoi Valley. About 400 years ago Samuel de Champlain remarked on the “verts monts” east of the lake. The first Europeans began to settle here about 240 years ago. Working on farms and in forest-related industries. Sugar maple and golden birch grow in profusion on the slopes. The Blair Veneer Co. never closed its doors during the Great Depression.
